First week of classes were easy going, right? With things picking up this coming week, make sure you have the right school supplies to be prepared for classwork! In middle school and high school, I didn't care much about the specific supplies I had. A pen was a pen and a notebook was a notebook. However, now I buy specific brands and types of school supplies each academic year! If you are not sure what to buy, take a quick read of my school supply list. I hope you enjoy and thanks for visiting my blog!

When you walk into the school supply section of Target, Walmart, or Superstore it's easy to get frustrated and confused. What is the best quality? What is affordable? What looks the best? You may even find yourself getting excited by all of the new smelling and fresh supplies you can buy. I know I get excited when I buy new school supplies! At the end of the day, what should you get? Everyone has different preferences so you'll have to discover for yourself. However, I have used many brands in my fifteen years of schooling and have come across certain products I absolutely love! My preferences may be different than yours, but I'll explain why I choose the products I do.
When I write notes I use a pen. In my opinion, taking notes with a pen looks neater! The black, blue, and red pens I buy are the Pentel R.S.V.P Ballpoint Pens in Fine Point (https://www.officedepot.com/a/products/404015/Pentel-RSVP-Ballpoint-Pens-Fine-Point/). These pens allow me to write in a way that doesn't smudge or look bolded. It has been my preference for years, and probably always will be!
The next school supply I buy are highlighters. I like to underline and highlight using a highlighter to identify titles, headings, and subheadings. I buy an assorted pack of Sharpie Accent Pocket Highlighters (https://www.officedepot.com/a/products/879058/Sharpie-Accent-Pocket-Highlighters-Assorted-Pack/). There are different sizes and lengths of highlighters that the brand Sharpie offers, however I always go for the "skinnier" and smaller-tip highlighters. These highlighters give me control over what I highlight!
You need to have white out, especially me! Sometimes I catch myself writing and not fully paying attention...and then I make a random mistake. I only like to buy two white out bottles a year, because it takes a while for me to finish a bottle. I always choose to buy the BIC Wite-Out Quik-Dry Correction Fluid (https://www.staples.com/BIC-Wite-Out-Brand-Quick-Dry-Correction-Fluid-White-Each/product_521864). I grew up using liquid white out and have just stuck with it. I have tried using the white out tape, but never liked it. If you prefer liquid white out, I suggest trying out the one I buy! I actually use the same brand for pencils. I rarely use pencils, however for standardized tests, it is mandatory to use one. Specifically, I buy the BIC Extra Life 0.7mm Mechanical Pencils (https://www.walmart.com/ip/BIC-Xtra-Life-Mechanical-Pencil-Medium-Point-0-7-mm-40-Pack/50103666).
Erasers, like pens and pencils, are essential to everyones pencil case for school. I'd be lying if I said I bought the same brand of erasers. Erasers are erasers to me. The only general preference I have is colour. I never buy pink erasers, only white! Lastly, I buy Post-It flags to keep track of where I end my readings, whether it be in my textbook, notebook, or case study documents (https://www.staples.com/Post-it--Flags-Combo-Pack---47--Wide-and--94--Wide--Assorted-Colors--320-Flags-Pack--683-XL1-/product_575671).
