I have always been the type of person to look into the future, whether that be a few months or a few years. I have decided to share with you my four-year plan, mainly for me to look back on, but there is always the possibility that it can help someone! This post will describe my career/educational plan from this year (2019) to the year 2022. Thank you for visiting my blog!

Before New Years began, I knew that the year 2019 was going to be a big one for me. My boyfriend and I made the decision to go to the University of the Fraser Valley for the Fall 2019 and Winter 2020 semesters. Right before New Years, I applied to the school and just recently received an acceptance letter in the mail! During winter break, I explored the school's campus and it is beautiful! I am nothing but excited to finish off my bachelor's degree there. A change I have experienced is moving out of Kamloops, British Columbia where I spent three years doing school work for my degree. My parents were right when they told me I would want a "change in scenery" half way into my degree and should think about attending two different schools. I was nothing but thrilled to live in Kamloops back in 2016, however year after year I found myself lacking options of what to do in my free time. Living near the Tri-Cities this fall, close to my family and friends, with plenty of activities to do... leaves me feeling very optimistic! The last career/education event that will happen for me in 2019 is applying to master's degrees. After hours of research, I will be applying to one marketing master's in Canada and three online marketing master's in the United States!

Fast-forward to the year 2020, the first career/educational event I will experience is finding out the admissions decisions of the master's I applied to. My list of master's consist of one program I believe is the absolute best for me, along with two programs I believe would still benefit my future, and one school as a "backup". I anticipate hearing back on whether I got in or not in-between January to May 2020. In May 2020, my plan is to earn a summer marketing position in the Tri-Cities to continue to gain relevant work experience. Looking forward to June 2020, I will be graduating with my Bachelor of Arts, Major in Communication and Minor in Marketing at Thompson Rivers University! This will be an exciting day for me as it would be for anyone graduating. I am the type of person that needs to work hard and study to earn good grades, so I definitely think it will be well-deserved. Lastly, in September 2020, I will be moving to a city in Canada (high chance of it being in Ontario) for my boyfriend and I to start our master's degrees.

Onto the year 2021, this is the year I am hoping to earn a branding position to gain experience in the specific field of marketing I want to work in. After continually educating myself on brand management, I strongly feel that branding is the field I can thrive the most in and enjoy. My goal is to work a part-time branding job while I am doing my master's degree. If I get into my dream program, I will be graduating in November 2021! If I happen to take a different program, my graduation date would be slightly different.

The last year of my plan that I would like to share with you is the year 2022. This year is very similar to the previous year as my plan is to continue to work in order to gain relevant experience. Jumping to the month of June, that is when I am anticipating changes to occur! June will be the month that not only I will have a master's degree, but my boyfriend as well! Afterwards, we will be looking to move to a city in the United States to settle down and work towards our dream careers. At this time, I will have graduated with my bachelor's degree, gained a few years of relevant work experience, and completed a master's degree. Reflecting on my four-year plan, I believe that the education and work experience I will accumulate will earn me a position as a Brand Strategist, or a similar job in branding, when I move to the United States!

I encourage you to set goals for the future, whether that be short-term or long-term. I hope you enjoyed reading my four-year plan! Thank you again for visiting my blog!
